Today’s edition of Bad MLS Photos is brought to you by an agent with a waterfront listing on St. Pete Beach. I get alerts about properties in certain areas for clients daily that I check out and this one popped up. The price was right, so I clicked the photos…oh my god!
The reason I show Bad MLS Photos is because I have often heard the line from potential clients “Oh all you Realtors are the same.”
Um…No. Clearly we are not.
Because if this Seller said to me, I want you to list my house, I would say OK great, but not until you clean it up. All the junk needs to go in boxes in the garage so my photographer can come in and shoot professional photos. If they refused, I would not take the listing. If they can’t be bothered to clean up, they are probably not very motivated to sell their home and would become a problem client for me. If your Realtor doesn’t have the guts to tell you what needs to be done to sell your home, you’ve got the wrong Realtor. And never, ever, should photos be taken and put in MLS of unflattering parts of the home. My job is to MARKET the home for sale in it’s best light!
I blame the Realtor here as much as I blame the lazy seller. Who takes a photo like this to showcase a waterfront property. TAKE PICTURES OF THE WATER! Sheesh!
Do you think all Realtors are the same?
