Halloween is a BIG deal here and there are no shortage of ways to celebrate. The problem isn’t what to do on Halloween – it’s how will you fit everything you want to do in? We’re breaking down all of the fun to be had this Halloween below. Whether you have kids.. or it’s just you.. we’ve got you covered!
Adult Only Halloween Fun
1. Yelloween- Vinoy Renaissance Resort St. Petersburg

Celebrate Halloween weekend by joining us in Marchand’s Bar and Grill at the The Vinoy Renaissance Resort and Golf Club for our 2nd annual Yelloween Party sponsored by Veuve Clicquot on Saturday, October 29th! Be prepared for a night of ghoulish food, spooky drinks and entertainment provided by DJ CR. This party promises to wake the dead! Our historic hotel will be completely transformed into a haunted hide-away. Costumes are suggested.

Event Details:
A reservation includes complimentary valet parking, light sustenance, a personal psychic reading, and four interactive theatrical experiences:
The Arrival: An eerily elegant cocktail lounge in The Vault, featuring live atmospheric entertainment.
The Ritual: A walkthrough paranormal performance in the basement of the Franklin Exchange Building with other lost souls. Guests choose their own way out, and are invited to search through the thematic details to uncover hidden messages and intriguing sub-plots.
The Gin Joint: A sinister speakeasy with live entertainment, inside The Lock Box.
The Readers Clearing: A serene clearing where psychics and tarot readers gather to share visions of the future, on the 3rd floor of the Franklin Exchange building.
Kid Friendly Halloween Haunts
1. Creatures of the Night – Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo
This new Halloween event will offer a wide-range of activities for all. From youngsters to teens and adults, find eerie adventures for the whole family. Wander into scare zones or encounter animals at night. Party the night away at a ghoulish dance party. No horror or gore, just scares and startles for one & all.
Creatures of the Night is every Friday and Saturday evening, October 7-29, until 10 p.m. A variety of event admission options are available:
- Free and unlimited entry for Annual Zoo Members;
- Free and unlimited entry for “pay for a day, come back all year” ticket holders;
- Purchase a one-day ticket on an event day (valid for full day including event);
- Purchase a special “after 4 pm” ticket on event days for $19.95 (ages 3 and up).
After 4 p.m. tickets to the seasonal events will also be available at the gate and online.
2. Guppyween- The Florida Aquarium
Event Details:
October 29 & 30 from 1:00-5:00pm
Join us for the only time we let wild animals, ghosts and princesses roam the Aquarium—Guppyween! Trick-or-treat among over 20,000 sea creatures, making for the perfect family-friendly Halloween event. Entertainment and treats will be provided, so come dressed in your best costume! Become an Aquarium Member and get in free!
Kids in costume: $10
Adults (12yrs and older): Regular Admission Pricing
Florida Aquarium Members & children under 2 get in free.
3. Halloween Spooktacular- Largo Central Park
Event Details:
Plan on a good time at this year’s Halloween Spooktacular event held at Largo Central Park, 101 Central Park Drive. This widely popular, family-friendly event takes place on Saturday, October 29 from 12-5pm and includes fun and games for kids 12 and under. Enjoy a trick-or-treat trail (12-4pm only), inflatables, a hay maze, games, music, activities and much more. Bounce houses, a petting zoo and strolling entertainment are just a few of the activities that make this a great event for the whole family. Wristbands are needed for most activities. Dogs are not permitted in the park during large events.
Parking:
Limited on-site parking will be available for $10.
Free park and walk from Everest University and Largo Middle School. (Largo High is NOT available)
Trick or Treat Path:
The Trick or Treat Trail is for children 12 and under ONLY (children must be present for candy). The trail features a variety of business locations that have sponsored a stop for you to enjoy. Costumes are not required. You have the ability to visit all stops of the trail, half, or even a few entering at any location and rotating counter clockwise, there will not be an official starting location. Please bring your own bag.
4.) Historic Old Northeast- The place to trick or treat!
If you’re looking for the most spooktacular place to trick or treat this Halloween – look no further than the Historic Old Northeast neighborhood in St. Petersburg. This area is notorious for going ALL OUT for Halloween. Every street is assigned a theme and neighbors love to rise to the occasion. As soon as the sun starts to go down on October 31st Old Northeast will transform. Parking is limited and thousands of people descend on this neighborhood at Halloween. Be prepared to face some crowds and have a great time!
